The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2019 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Thursday, July 18, and 22 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) women’s tennis student-athletes were recognized by the association.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2019 NCAA Division III All-American singles and doubles teams on Thursday, June 6. Four North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Women’s Tennis student-athletes were on the list, including Denison seniors Emma Alsup (Nashville, TN/Harpeth Hall), Lauren Hawley (Dayton, OH/Archbishop Alter) and Kenyon sophomore Erika Oku (Hinsdale, IL/Hinsdale Central) and senior Maggie Sweeney (Grosse Pointe, MI/Grosse Pointe South).
A pair of North Coast Athletic Conference doubles teams from Denison and Kenyon fell in the national quarterfinal round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Doubles Championship on Saturday, May 25.

GAMBIER, Ohio – With Saturday's 5-0 result, the Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team ousted Kenyon College from the NCAA Division III Championship for the second straight season. Last year at CMU, the Tartans knocked off Kenyon, 5-1. This year, the No. 11-ranked Tartans came to Kenyon's VandenBerg Courts to upend the No. 13-ranked Ladies.
