    Five North Coast Track & Field and Cross Country student-athletes were named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III Cross Country/Track & Field Teams, it was announced on Tuesday, June 19th.

  • Denison Leads NCAC In Final Learfield Standings
    June 01, 2018
    Following the completion of the 2017-18 NCAA Division III competition season, four North Coast Athletic Conference schools ranked in the top-70 of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Denison finishing 44th out of 323 eligible institutions with 382.00 total points. Schools must have competed in an NCAA Championship event during the academic year in order to compile points in the standings.

    The 2017-18 College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's & Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Teams were released on May 29th with five student-athletes from the NCAC being named to a first team.

    Denison won two outright league titles in men's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse, shared the league title with Kenyon in field hockey and posted 14 additional top-five finishes during the 2017-18 academic year to win its league-leading 16th North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.

    For the third year in a row, the Allegheny women’s team captured the NCAC cross country championship after accumulating 31 points on Saturday, October 28th, at the 2017 NCAC Cross Country Championships, held at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

    Eight-time NCAC women’s cross country champion Oberlin has been tabbed as the favorites for the 2017 title, while the DePauw Tigers have been predicted to win their first NCAC men’s cross country title based on pre-championship balloting by the conference coaches.

    The 2017 NCAC Cross Country Championships will be held this Saturday, October 28th, at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. The women’s 6K race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men’s 8k race at 11:45 a.m.

    North Coast Cross Country squads wrapped up the regular season portion of the schedule last weekend at four different events, highlighted by the Oberlin women and the DePauw men winning the annual Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. The 2017 NCAC Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Oberlin on Saturday, October 28th, in Oberlin, Ohio, with the women’s race beginning at 11:00 a.m and the men’s race at 11:45 a.m.

    There was minimal action on the NCAC cross country circuit last week with just one event on the schedule, a dual meet between Denison and Wooster at the Infirmary Mount Park in Granville, Ohio. All nine teams will return to the course this weekend at four different events, highlighted by Oberlin hosting its annual Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday.

    It was a busy weekend on the NCAC cross country circuit with all nine league schools in action at three different events, led by the Kenyon women finishing second out of 17 Div. III teams at the annual All-Ohio Championships and the DePauw men finishing fourth out of 21 Div. III and NAIA teams at the Greater Louisville Classic. There is just one event on the schedule this week as Denison will host Wooster in a dual meet on Thursday afternoon.

    There was just one NCAC school in action last weekend on the cross country circuit as Denison made the trip to New England for the Williams College Purple Valley Classic in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Both teams finished 22nd in their respective team standings against several of the nation’s top teams. There are three events on the NCAC schedule this weekend, highlighted by the six Ohio-based schools traveling to Cedarville, Ohio, for the 2017 All-Ohio Championships.

    A pair of team wins by the DePauw and Oberlin women’s squads highlighted the action on the NCAC cross country circuit last weekend. There is minimal action this weekend across the conference as Denison is the only team in action, traveling to Williamstown, Massachusetts, for the Williams College Purple Valley Classic.

    It was another busy weekend on the NCAC cross country circuit as six of the league’s nine schools were in action at the OWU invite at Liberty Park, which will host the 2017 Great Lakes Regional. Kenyon finished third in the women’s race and Ohio Wesleyan took sixth in the men’s race as the top finishers from the NCAC. All nine conference schools will be in action this weekend, led by DePauw and Wabash traveling to Indiana University on Friday night in Bloomington for the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships.

    It was a busy opening weekend on the NCAC Cross Country circuit as all nine league schools were in action at six different events, highlighted by Allegheny and DePauw both sweeping the team titles at the Chatham Cougar Challenge and IWU Titan Opener, respectively. Looking ahead to this weekend, Ohio Wesleyan is hosting Denison, DePauw, Kenyon, Oberlin and Wittenberg for the OWU Invite.
