Race: Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble 
Distance: 8k
Individual Finish: First (25:01.3) 
Team Finish: Third

Allegheny senior Bobby Over broke the tape to capture the individual championship at Oberlin’s Inter-Regional Rumble with an 8k time of 25:01.3. His performance helped lead the Gators to a third-place finish at the event with 106 points.

(Norton, OH/Ellet)

Race: Connecticut College Invitational 
Distance: 6k
Individual Finish: Ninth (22:16) 
Team Finish: Second

Ohio Wesleyan senior Cara DeAngelis finished ninth out of 257 runners at the Connecticut College Invitational with a time of 22:16 on the 6k course. Her time led the Battling Bishops to a second-place in the final team standings with 97 points.

Geno Arthur, Oberlin
(Camarillo, CA/Rio Mesa) 

Race: All-Ohio Championships        
Distance: 8k
Individual Finish: First (25:42.0)        
Team Finish: Third

Oberlin sophomore Geno Arthur earned the Division III individual title at the 59th annual All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville, Ohio, with an 8k time of 25:42.0. He helped guide the Yeomen to a third-place finish in the Div. III team standings with 118 points.

  Molly Martorella, Oberlin
(Winchendon, MA/Murdock)

Race: All-Ohio Championships        
Distance: 6k
Individual Finish: First (22:13.96)        
Team Finish: First

Oberlin senior Molly Martorella, who was running in her first race of the fall season, won the Div. III title at the 59th annual All-Ohio Championships with a time of 22:13.96 on the 6k course. The Yeowomen also won the team title at the event with 54 points.
September 23rd
Geno Arthur, Oberlin
(Camarillo, CA/Rio Mesa)

Race: Saint Vincent College Invitational      
Distance: 8k
Individual Finish: Second (26:42)        
Team Finish: Second

Oberlin sophomore Geno Arthur led the Yeomen to a second-place finish at the Saint Vincent College Invitational after finishing second overall in the individual standings with a time of 36:42.
  Olivia Galano, Denison
(Laurel Hollow, NY/Cold Spring Harbor)

Race: Otterbein Invitational        
Distance: 6k
Individual Finish: Second (23:44.8)    
Team Finish: Fourth

Denison senior Olivia Galano finished second out of 199 runners with a 6k time of 23:44.8 on a flooded course at the Otterbein Invitational. Her finish enabled the Big Red to finish fourth overall in the final team standings.

Jake Dennie, Denison
(Indianapolis, IN/Brebeuf Jesuit Prep)

Race: Rochester Invitational   
Distance: 8k
Individual Finish: Seventh (26:27.3)    
Team Finish: Third

Denison freshman Jake Dennie led the Big Red to a third-place finish at the Rochester Invitational after finishing seventh out of 163 runners with a time of 26:27.3 on the 8k course.

Siri Retrum, DePauw
(Columbus, IN/North)

Race: Calvin Knight Invitational    
Distance: 5k
Individual Finish: 10th (18:25)        
Team Finish: Fifth

DePauw senior Siri Retrum had a record-setting day to help lead the Tigers to a fifth-place team finish at the Calvin Knight Invitational in Michigan. Retrum topped her personal-best time by 41 seconds after traversing the 5k course in 18:25.

September 9th

Luke Hutchings-Goetz, Wooster
(Wilmette, IL/New Trier)

Race: GLCA Championships/OWU Invitational    
Distance: 8k
Individual Finish: 3rd (GLCA); 7th (OWU Invite)    
Team Finish: T-1st (GLCA); 2nd (OWU Invite)

Wooster senior Luke Hutchings-Goetz led the Fighting Scots at the GLCA Championships/OWU Invitational by finishing third among GLCA runners and seventh overall after covering the 8k course in 26:07.9. The Fighting Scots finished in a tie for first in the GLCA competition with Kenyon and finished second behind Ashland in the final OWU Invitational standings.

Sarah Fowler, Ohio Wesleyan
(Mt. Vernon, OH/Fredericktown)

Race: GLCA Championships/OWU Invitational  
Distance: 5k
Individual Finish: 2nd (GLCA); 4th (OWU Invite)   Team Finish: 1st (GLCA); 1st (OWU Invite)

Ohio Wesleyan freshman Sarah Fowler turned in an impressive time of 19:07.00 to lead the Battling Bishops to the team title at the GLCA Championships/OWU Invitational. Her time was the second-fastest among GLCA runners and fourth-best overall.

Logan Steiner, Allegheny
(Meadville, PA/North Allegheny) 

Race: Bill Sudeck Invitational        
Distance: 6k
Individual Finish: First        
Team Finish: First

Allegheny sophomore Logan Steiner helped the Gators capture the team title at Case’s Bill Sudeck Invitational for the fifth year in a row by winning the individual title on the 6k course. Steiner claimed his first collegiate victory at the event after breaking the tape in 19:44.65.

Natalie Plick, Kenyon
(Wynnewood, PA/Lower Merion)

Race: Kenyon Tri-Meet        
Distance: 4k
Individual Finish: First        
Team Finish: NTS

Kenyon sophomore Natalie Plick opened the 2013 season with a bang by winning the individual title at the Kenyon Tri-Meet. The Ladies’ sophomore set the meet and course record by winning the 4k race in a time of 14:32.40.
