Caitlin Solan, Allegheny Allegheny senior outside hitter Caitlin Solan had 2.90 kills and 4.20 digs per game in a 1-2 week for the Gators. She recorded 29 kills and 42 digs to go along with seven blocks. Solan posted 11 kills in a 3-0 loss to Penn St.-Behrend and a 3-0 win over Denison, while recording double-digit digs in all three matches on the week. Allegheny also fell to Case, 3-1. |

Randa Jackson, Hiram Hiram senior middle hitter Randa Jackson helped the Terriers to three wins last week, including a pair of NCAC victories which clinched the Terriers a spot in the upcoming NCAC tournament. Jackson compiled 22 kills and 11 blocks as Hiram topped Denison, 3-0, and Ohio Wesleyan, 3-1. She posted a team-high 11 kills in the win over Ohio Wesleyan - the Terriers fifth straight victory. Hiram also defeated Case, 3-0. |

Sarah Marshall, Ohio Wesleyan Ohio Wesleyan junior setter Sarah Marshall helped the Battling Bishops to their first two wins of the 2009 campaign. She dished 44 assists as the Bishops rallied from a 2-sets-to-1 deficit for a 3-2 win over Denison at the NCAC Weekend, hosted by Earlham. She also added 15 digs and a block assist. The Bishops also took a match from Kenyon, in straight sets. Marshall distributed 33 assists and chipped in 11 digs. At the NCAC weekend, she compiled 128 assists (8.53/set), 10 kills and 50 digs (3.33/set). Overall, she had 151 assists (8.39/set) for the week, with 13 kills and 67 digs (3.72/set). |

Lauren Strowder, Denison Denison sophomore Lauren Strowder helped Denison to two conference victories. In the 2-1 week, she posted 16 kills in a 3-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan, 10 kills in a straight-set win over Kenyon and 15 kills in a four-set loss to Oberlin. Strowder leads Denison with a .306 attack percentage. |

Sophia Khan, Kenyon Freshman Sophia Khan accomplished the rare feat of leading her team in kills (11) and assists (16) in a 3-1 win over Earlham. The conference victory was the Ladies’ first this season, and first since Oct. 27, 2006 when they knocked off Oberlin, 3-0. |

Shaina Bryan, Hiram Hiram sophomore outside hitter Shaina Bryan led the Terriers to a 4-1 week, including a 4-0 start in NCAC play. She smashed 57 kills in 182 attempts, recorded four service aces, six blocks and 67 digs. |

Amanda Wysk, Oberlin Junior outside hitter Amanda Wysk led Oberlin to a 2-0 week. The Yeowomen, who didn’t drop a set, upended Ursuline (25-20, 25-18) and Wilmington (25-22, 25-14, 25-11). Oberlin extended its win streak to three and lifted head coach Carey Cavanaugh into third place on the team’s all-time wins list. Wysk smashed 27 kills, five service aces, four blocks and 19 digs to pace the Yeowomen. |

Mary Myers, Kenyon Sophomore Mary Myers led the way to a 3-0 victory over the University of the South with 16 kills, 13 digs, and an ace. The victory, Kenyon’s opening match in its own Invitational, snapped a 36-match losing streak for the Ladies. Myers followed with 18 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 loss to Ursuline, and then 27 kills against Bluffton and John Carroll. She racked up a total of 61 kills throughout the five-team, two-day event. |

KateLynn Riley, Wooster Senior hitter KateLynn Riley led the Fighting Scots, as the returning All-American combined for 55 kills, 22 digs, and 19 blocks. She had double-digit kill totals in three of the four matches at the Bishop Invitational, including 15 on just 27 attempts in a 3-0 win over Grove City, and seven of her blocks came in a four-set loss to Otterbein. After also defeating the host Battling Bishops and Transylvania in straight games, Wooster totaled a 3-1 record and a second-place finish at the event. |
