__________________________________________________________________________ November 7, 2004 Wittenberg senior setter Sarah Yuskewich (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson) led the Tigers to their eighth straight North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament title. In the NCAC tournament championship game, Yuskewich was dominant, recording 45 assists to lead Wittenberg past runner-up, Hiram, in three sets. In the Tigers semifinal win over Denison, she distributed 43 assists and seven kills. She was named the NCAC Tournament MVP for her efforts. __________________________________________________________________________ October 31, 2004 Earlham sophomore Lisa Vanderkolk (Bluffton, IN/Bluffton) recorded 54 kills, 123 digs and 29 blocks to lead the Quakers to a 3-3 week, including wins over Dominican, Marantha and Oberlin (non-conference). __________________________________________________________________________ October 24, 2004 Wooster freshman setter Heather Wolff (Mansfield, OH/Madison Comprehensive) had 35 assists on Wooster's 45 kills in a three-game victory over Oberlin. She also contributed 13 digs and three blocks. __________________________________________________________________________ October 17, 2004 Ohio Wesleyan senior outside hitter Lindsay Wohlheter (Newark, OH/ Catholic) totaled 23 kills, 47 digs, two solo blocks, three service aces and an assist in the Bishops’ 1-2 week. In a five-set loss to Wilmington, Wohlheter led her team with 16 kills and 33 digs. In her team's NCAC victory over Earlham, she led the way with six kills, 10 digs, three aces and an assist in a four-set victory. __________________________________________________________________________ October 10, 2004 Allegheny junior middle hitter Lindsey Tupman (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) totaled 47 kills, 25 digs and 23 blocks in the Gators’ 3-1 week. __________________________________________________________________________ October 3, 2004 Hiram sophomore middle hitter Shana Toth (Mantua, OH/Crestwood) smashed 88 kills and had 19 blocks as her team went 4-0 last week, 2-0 in conference play. She leads her team in both categories this season, ranks second in the conference in kills per game (3.86) and is fourth in blocks per game (0.99). __________________________________________________________________________ September 26, 2004 Wooster junior outside hitter Tiffany Rice (Canton, OH/McKinley) had another stellar performance in the Scots’ 3-0 week. She registered 49 kills, 14 digs and five blocks in those matches. She leads the NCAC with a 4.31 kills per game average, and is eight kills short of 1,000 in her career. The Scots are in the midst of an eight-match winning streak, and are off to a 2-0 start in conference play. __________________________________________________________________________ September 19, 2004 Wittenberg senior Sarah Yuskewich (Columbus, OH/Watterson) was named to the all-tournament team at the Teri Clemens Invitational at Washington University. She recorded 151 in the three matches, and now leads the conference with 14.81 assists per game this season. She totalled 43 assists against Trinity, 52 versus Juniata and 56 against Washington. She surpassed 5,000 career assists (5,118) and became the NCAC’s all- time leader in that category. __________________________________________________________________________ September 12, 2004 Wittenberg senior Kristin Fox (Galion, OH/Galion) had 30 kills in nine games as the Tigers swept three matches en route to the title at the Wittenberg Invitational. Fox, who ranks second in the NCAC with a 3.52 kills per game average, was named the tournament's MVP. __________________________________________________________________________ September 7, 2004 Denison junior Ellen Price (Maple City, MI/Leland) was named to the all-tournament team after she recorded 64 kills and led the team with 19 blocks in 20 games.
