She was the top NCAC finisher at the meet and led the Ladies to a fourth- place team finish. __________________________________________________________________________ October 7, 2007 Oberlin freshman Joanna Johnson (Chico, CA/Chico) was the top NCAC finisher at the All-Ohio Championships with a fourth of 142 place finish. Johnson covered the 5K course in 19:57, leading the Yeowomen to a fourth of 22 team finish in the Division III race. __________________________________________________________________________ October 2, 2007 Freshman Katie Stancik (South Russell, OH/Chagrin Falls) was the top Allegheny woman with a 17th-place overall finish at the Lehigh Paul Short Run. She completed the 6,000-meter course in 23:23 as the Gators finished fourth of 32 teams. __________________________________________________________________________ September 23, 2007 Ohio Wesleyan junior Leah Schmelzer (Marion, OH/Mt. Pleasant) placed eighth of 181 runners at the Otterbein Invitational. She finished the six kilometer race in 23:07 as the Bishops placed second of 16 teams. __________________________________________________________________________ September 16, 2007 Kenyon junior Jessica Francois (Yorktown Hts, NY/Yorktown) placed 16th at the Cedarville Invitational. She was the second Division III runner to finish the course. Francois led the Ladies to a third-of-19 team finish with a time of 19:09. __________________________________________________________________________ September 9, 2007 Denison freshman Brooke Boening (Harper's Ferry, WV/Jefferson) won the individual title at the GLCA Championships. She beat the field of 133 runners with a time of 19:17 over 5,000 meters. Boening led the Big Red to a third of eight team finish. __________________________________________________________________________ September 4, 2007 Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Sarah Shinn (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) placed second in the college division and was 25th of 111 runners overall at the U. of Dayton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 1.
