Allegheny junior Tony Dipre (Twinsburg, OH/Walsh Jesuit) won the 
Waynesburg Invitational. He completed the eight-kilometer course in 25:57 
as the Gatrs won the team title over 13 squads.

Sept. 7, 2008

Kenyon sophomore Chrissy Ostrowski (Oakmont, PA/Riverview) was 21st of 105 
runners at the Queen City Invitational. She completed the 5K race with a 
time of 19:44, and was the highest Division III finisher in the meet. 
Kenyon placed fourth as a team.

Oberlin sophomore Joanna Johnson (Chico, CA/Chico) has been named North 
Coast Athletic Conference women's cross country runner of the week for her 
performance at the season-opening Case Western Reserve Bill Sudek Classic 
on Saturday, August 30.

Johnson was the individual champion among 139 runners in the women's event 
at the eighth annual meet. She covered the 5000-meter course in 18:38 to 
lead the Yeowomen to a 2nd-of-10 team finish.
