The Wooster Fighting Scots, who turned in the first undefeated NCAC regular season in the history of the program, kept their unblemished streak alive as they rolled through the NCAC Tournament with back-to-back wins. The Scots opened the 2004 NCAC Tournament with a 12-5 win over fourth-seeded Kenyon in the semifinals. Wooster then topped third-seeded Allegheny, 10-6 in the championship to earn their third consecutive NCAC title as well as their third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Gators advanced to the final with an 11-10 win over second-seeded Denison.
