Ohio Wesleyan captured its second North Coast title when senior midfielder Alexa Deaton scored the game-winning goal with :23 left in the third sudden-death overtime period in the championship game of the NCAC Tournament in Delaware on May 3. The Battling Bishops' 14-13 triple overtime victory over Wooster avenged a 13-10 loss to the Fighting Scots a year ago. Ohio Wesleyan advanved to the championship courtesy of a 13-9 win over fourth-seeded Allegheny in their semifinal matchup. The third-seeded Scotsupset the second seed, Denison, 8-7 in their first-round game.

As NCAC champions, Ohio Wesleyan earns the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III playoffs.
