The Fighting Scots rolled through the NCAC Tournament with back-to-back upsets. Seeded third before the event after the league tiebreaker, Wooster advanced to the championship courtesy of a 19-12 win over second-seeded Denison in their semifinal matchup. The top-seeded Battling Bishops defeated the fourth seed, Kenyon, 16-7 in their first-round game. The Fighting Scots, Bishops and Big Red ended the regular seaosn in a three-way tie for first place.
