May 4
Wooster senior goalie Jamie Dannenberg (Framingham, MA/Framingham) recorded 11 saves in the semifinals of the NCAC tournament, a 13-10 win over Denison. She came back in the championship game to make 16 stops – one short of her season-high – to lead the Fighting Scots to an 11-6 win over Kenyon. That gave her a .628 save percentage for the week. After Kenyon had pulled within 8-6, she made two clutch saves, one on a free-position attempt, to help seal Wooster’s fifth NCAC championship and second in three years.
April 27
Denison freshman Cassedy O'Neill (Seattle, WA/Seattle Prep) tallied five scores in the Big Red's 2-0 week, which included a four-goal performance in a 14-13 defeat of Allegheny. O'Neill scored the game-winner with 43 seconds left in regulation, and sent DU to the conference tournament for the 15th consecutive season.
April 20
Wittenberg sophomore attacker Jordan Beauchamp (Noblesville, IN/Hamilton Southeastern) scored seven goals and added four ground balls as Wittenberg defeated Oberlin, 20-8, and Denison, 9-6, in NCAC play last week. The Tigers defeated the Big Red for the first time in 24 tries, a streak that stretched back to the 1990 season.
April 13
Wooster senior attacker Carly Carey (Northfield, MN/Academy at Charlemont, MA) totaled six goals, including a game-winner with 10 seconds remaining to help the Fighting Scots to a 2-0 week. In a 10-9 decision over Denison, Carey spearheaded a Fighting Scot comeback from a 9-6 deficit by converting a free-position attempt with 3:27 remaining to tie it at 9, then netted the game-winner unassisted on a wrap-around goal with 10 seconds left on the clock. In Wooster's 17-11 defeat of Allegheny earlier in the week, Carey netted four goals. With the two wins, the Fighting Scots solidified their hold on first place.
April 6
Allegheny junior Meg Grossman (Lexington, KY/Sayre School) recorded 10 goals, three assists, 11 draw controls and eight ground balls in the Gators' 2-0 week. She tallied five goals and two assists in a 21-17 defeat of Washington & Jefferson, then added another five scores with an assist in a 23-10 NCAC victory over Oberlin.
March 30
Ohio Wesleyan senior midfielder Hannah Mudge (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's School) scored three goals and two assists in the Battling Bishops' 11-10 win over Notre Dame (OH), then contributed six goals and one assist in the NCAC opening, 17-16 win over Allegheny. Her totals were nine goals and three assists in OWU's 2-0 week.
March 23
Sophomore attacker Nina Dine (Tuckahoe, NY/E.C. Fieldston School) combined for 10 points in Wooster 1-1 week. She scored twice in a 9-7 loss to Washington (MD), then exploded for five goals and three assists for a single-game career-best eight points in a 19-10 defeat of Gwynedd-Mercy. Dine also totaled six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
March 16
Kenyon sophomore Jackie Shirreffs (South Elgin, IL/St. Charles North) fueled the Ladies' 4-0 start. She totaled 13 goals and seven assists in the four games, including the game-winner in the season opener with five seconds left. Kenyon defeated St. Anselm, 16-15 in that contest, and later defeated Lynchburg, 11-8, Sewanee, 15-14, and Birmingham-Southern, 19-10.
