__________________________________________________________________________ May 5, 2008 Ohio Wesleyan senior goalie Maggie Eichenlaub (Crystal, MN/Robbinsdale Cooper) made 11 saves to help the Battling Bishops defeat fourth-seeded Allegheny, 13-9, in the semifinal round of the NCAC Tournament. She stopped eight shots in second half, shutting down the Gators as OWU extended a 6-3 halftime lead to 13-6 with just over five5 minutes to play. Eichenlaub then had a season-high 17 saves in the tournament championship against Wooster, helping the Bishops to a 14-13 triple overtime victory. She made a save with :06 left in regulation to prevent a Wooster win, then stopped a Wooster free position shot in the second overtime to preserve the tie. Eichenlaub was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts. __________________________________________________________________________ April 28, 2008 Ohio Wesleyan senior Julia Fouts (Cleveland Hts., OH/Hathaway Brown) scored six times and added an assist in the Battling Bishops' 3-0 week that included a 17-14 defeat of St. Vincent. Fouts scored the goal that put OWU up to stay in a come-from-behind win at Wooster, then added three more with an assist during a 9-0 run in a 13-7 decision over Denison that clinched the top seed in the North Coast tournament. Ohio Wesleyan will host the conference's women's lacrosse tournament for the second straight year on Friday and Saturday. __________________________________________________________________________ April 21, 2008 Denison senior Quinn Simmons (Medina, OH/Medina) beat the buzzer in the first overtime to send the game into a second overtime against Wooster. The Big Red eventually won, 10-9. Denison also defeated Sewanee, 19-5, last week. Simmons finished the two contests with three goals and an assist. She leads the team with 31 goals in 2008. __________________________________________________________________________ April 14, 2008 Wooster junior midfielder Hillary Darragh (Evanston, IL/Evanston Twp.) scored 13 goals on 20 shots last week. She had a career-high five goals in the first 20 minutes of a19-4 win over Adrian, then added four goals and an assist in a 10-7 win over Kenyon. In the Fighting Scots' 3-0 week, she totaled six draw-controls and two caused turnovers as well 13 goals and one assist. She also dished three assists as the Yewomen Linfield, 15-9, and lost to Puget Sound, 21-10, last week. __________________________________________________________________________ March 24, 2008 Wooster junior attacker Carly Carey (Cummington, MA/Academy at Charlemont) led the Scots to a 1-2 week. Carey scored a career-high five goals in a 16-13 defeat of Whittier and also in a 13-12 loss to Redlands. She recorded two assists, two groundballs and two draw controls during the week. __________________________________________________________________________ March 17, 2008 Kenyon senior attacker Amanda Drummond (Mayfield Hts., OH/Hawken) was the Ladies' leader on offense last week, posting four goals and three draw controls in a 15-2 victory over Pacific.
