![]() Third-seeded Ohio Wesleyan claimed their fifth North Coast Athletic Conference tournament championship. The Battling Bishops capped their 2005 regular season with a perfect run through the season-ending tourney. In the semifinals, OWU topped second-seeded Kenyon, 3-2. Ohio Wesleyan then followed with a hard-fought 2-1 upset win over top-seeded Denison in the championship game. The Big Red had advanced to the championship game with a 2-1 win over fourth-seeded Wittenberg in their semifinal matchup. The Bishops are the first team in the six-year history of the conference tournament to win two tourney games on the road. They are also the lowest seed to claim the title. |
