Denison swept three opponents, 15-1, on the way to its eighth straight and ninth overall team title at the NCAC tournament hosted by the Kenyon, April 25-26 [see attached bracket for complete results]. The Big Red, seeded first in the West Division, went past Wooster, 5-0, and Oberlin, 5-1, in the early rounds. Denison capped its championship run with a 5-0 victory over Kenyon, the top seed from the East, in the finals. The Ladies defeated Earlham, 5-0, and Allegheny, 5-4, before falling to Denison.

Oberlin captured third with a 5-4 win over Allegheny in the consolation finals. Kenyon's 15 NCAC women's championships leads all conference teams. Allegheny claimed the first North Coast championship in 1985.

The Big Red, the eighth-ranked team in Division III, have earned the North Coast's automatic bid into the NCAA III Women's Tennis tournament and has the potential to host first- and second-round matches. The pairings and sites are expected to be announced Monday, May.

Champion DENISON'S captains Meghan Damico (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and Kendra Murray (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood) extended their doubles winning streak to eight and improved to 13-5 overall during the NCAC tournament. Damico is the fifth-ranked singles player in the central region. The Big Red won four matches last week, including three in the conference tournament, to improve to 14-6 overall.
