Denison (6-0, 15-3) swept three opponents 15-4 on the way to its second team title at the NCAC Championships held at Oberlin on April 26-27. The top-seeded Big Red topped Earlham (1-2, 8-6) and Wittenberg (3-3, 10-11) in early rounds. Denison capped its championship run with a hard-fought 5-4 triumph over second-seeded Kenyon (5-1,18-6) in the finals. Denison has placed second 14 times in 16 years of North Coast competition; this is the Big Red's first women's title since 1994. Kenyon has won 15 NCAC team titles, including the last seven in a row. The Ladies defeated Wooster (1-5, 6-14) and Oberlin (3-3, 16-11) before falling to Denison. Wittenberg captured third with a 5-0 win over Oberlin in the consolation finals.
